Q: What methods of payment does stayRome.com accept as a booking deposit?

A: stayRome.com accepts the following methods of payment:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept payment by any other form, eg cheque or bank draft.

Q: How do I pay the balance of my accommodation costs?

A: The balance on the accommodation costs is payable direct to the property owner.
Please note: some property owners are unable to accept credit cards - please check the payment terms specific to each property.

Q: I've made a booking on stayRome.com and paid the deposit. When is the balance payable?

A: In general, the balance is payable upon your arrival at the property. However, the precise payment terms may differ from property to property, so please be sure that payment terms have been clarified before you make the booking.

Q: What are the check-in and check-out times?

A: For most apartments, the check-in time is after 14:30 and check-out is before 11:00, but please check the specific times with the property manager.

For check-ins between 20:00 and 23:00, there will be an extra charge of €25.
For check-ins after 23:00, there will be an extra charge of €50.

Q: I've made a booking on stayRome.com, but I now wish to cancel. Will my deposit be returned to me?

A: Please see our full Terms and Conditions for cancellation policies.

stayRome.com only lists properties for rent, and is unable to issue refunds for part or all of the initial booking deposit.

Q: I've stayed at a property I booked on stayRome.com, but I was unhappy with the accommodation when I arrived. Can I get a refund from stayRome.com?

A: stayRome.com only lists properties for rent - the upkeep of the properties, and the description of the property on stayRome.com, are the responsibility of the property owners, and complaints should be made direct to the property owner in question.

If you do not know the owner's contact details, send your complaint to stayRome.com and this will then be forwarded to the property owner. Resolution of the dispute will take place directly between the property owner and you.

Please note, however, we take seriously any complaints regarding properties listed on stayRome.com and would appreciate if you would email us at info@stayrome.com, outlining the nature of your complaint and the property in question.

Q: I own a property in Rome and would like to list it on stayRome.com. Whom should I contact?

A: We are always happy to hear from property owners in Rome (long-term or short-term rentals). If you would like to list your property or would like further information, please contact us at info@stayrome.com, and we will respond without delay.
